With over 20 trees, one of which is 300 years old, you can find one more thing to enjoy about Lake Oswego as it celebrates it’s 100 years of existence. The Holiday Season has come and gone but it is alway fun to take a moment and look back.

If you missed having the time or were just not able to get out and see some of the wonderful Christmas lights people put up to share this should help.

This little drive is a video from the Westlake area of Lake Oswego.

You can see how the Holidays mean a lot of different things to the residents of this neighborhood.

     The Christmas and Holiday Seasons can bring a welcome relief to the busy lifestyle we all live.
     There is something about walking downtown, breathing the crisp, cold air, and looking at the colorful lights dancing on the lamp posts, businesses, and even the trees in Millenium Park.
     Window shop, grab a cup of coffee, eat a meal, find that special gift, or just having the freedom to walk about, freedoms we can be thankful for.
     I guess all the lights are like a winter rainbow that we can follow to true riches. For although Lake Oswego and many of its citizens are financially fortunate, it is the value of our family and friends that help us navigate life’s struggles and help us keep a proper perspective.

What a wonderful combination of nature and play areas located close to downtown. The play structure is great for younger kids, basketball area for the older ones. Covered area. Benches. If you look closely you will see “A Beautiful Day”, the bronze statue by Kevin Pettelle.

The next time you have your garbage hauled away, you might be thankful for the Rossman family who donated 4 downtown lots for this park in 1991.

On your right you will see Francisco Salgado’s yellow colored “Jump” (sponsored by Pacific West Bank into 2010) which is a part of Lake Oswego’s “Gallery Without Walls” sponsored by the Arts Council of Lake Oswego.
